The
Cathedral Lariat style of this stitch pattern was preferred by the
northern cattleman for its good looks and performance. The cowboys of
Cheyenne, Billings, Deadwood and other northern ranches had many more rivers to deal with. A
good tall boot enabled the northern cowboys to ford most of the streams
and rivers without having water pour into there boots. The Deadwood boot
